James Beretta, D.O.

Dr. Beretta has been in practice for 26 years and earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from Southeastern University. He went on to complete his internship at Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He completed his Anesthesia residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he was Chief Resident. Dr Beretta also completed a fellowship in pain management at The University of Massachusetts Medical Center Worchester, Massachusetts. Dr. Beretta is board certified in Anesthesia and Pain.



David Colby, Pharm.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Colby is an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Research Associate Professor in the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Mississippi, School of Pharmacy. His research is in natural products and pharmaceutical design, and his work has published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and led to the commercialization of specialty chemicals for drug development. Professor Colby received his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) with honors and distinction from the University of Iowa and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California at Irvine. He completed postdoctoral studies in medicinal chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute.



Cameron Durrant, M.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Durrant is a pharmaceutical and biotech executive and entrepreneur.  He trained and practiced medicine in Wales and Australia, before embarking on a pharmaceuticals career, initially with Merck and GSK in the UK where he held sales, marketing, and business development roles.  He subsequently held staff and line international and US domestic responsibility for several businesses at Pharmacia Corporation (until its acquisition by Pfizer) and Johnson & Johnson.  Dr. Durrant has been CEO/Chairman/CFO for companies, two of which were public, one of which he founded and took public.  He has been involved in five exit strategies and raised over $50MM in investment funding.  He has launched 20 brands, nationally, regionally, and globally, including five which sold over $1B annually and one which sold over $3B annually; three brands were nominated for Prix Galien awards.  He was an Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year” national finalist, and named in the annual “100 Most Inspiring Leaders in Pharma” published by Pharma Voice on three separate occasions.  Dr. Durrant is currently on the board of two private medical device companies, a founding board member of a private nanotech/oncology company and a board member of a public immunology biotech company.   



James Ferguson, President and CEO of Think Big Idea Group

James is Executive Vice President of MKTG INC. a full-service marketing communications agency based out of New York City.  He has over 26 years of marketing experience in the consumer package goods, healthcare and business-to-business market segments.  He has developed and implemented many fully integrated strategic marketing initiatives that have included strategic brand planning, brand positioning, advertising, consumer and retail promotion, digital, social, word-of-mouth advocacy and direct marketing.  For most of his career, he has held various roles in the marketing agency world including General Manager, VP Operations, VP Marketing and Sales as well as President where he managed all aspects of the agency business.  Over the years, he has worked with a variety of brands including several Fortune 100 and 500 companies.  A few notable organizations include Procter and Gamble, BayerHealthCare, Nature’s Way, LensCrafters, Kikkoman International, Chiquita Brands, Nestle, SuperValu, Kroger and several regional convenience store chains.  James also sits on the Board of Advisors of HealthCorps (founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz), the Board of Directors of the Flying Pig Marathon and is President of the Cincinnati Hills SAY Soccer Organization.



Ajay Goel, Ph.D.

Dr. Goel is currently the Director of Epigenetics and Cancer Prevention at Baylor Research Institute, which is a position he has held since 2011. Prior to his current position, Dr. Goel held the titles of Investigator and Associate Investigator at Baylor Research Institute, BUMC, Dallas, Texas and Assistant Project Scientist, Department of Medicine & Cancer and Post Graduate Researcher, Department of Medicine at University of California San Diego, California.  Dr. Goel has performed research on Genetics and epigenetics of gastrointestinal cancers;  Mechanisms of genomic instability;  DNA mismatch repair; Mechanisms of epigenetic instability (DNA methylation, histonemodifications, microRNAs) in human colorectal cancer; Potential role of JC virus in colon carcinogenesis; Complementary and alternative approaches for the chemo prevention of gastrointestinal cancer using natural dietary agents and polyphenols, and; Development of non-invasive epigenetic biomarkers for the detection of gastrointestinal cancers.



Richard Payne, M.D.

Dr. Payne is an internationally known expert in the areas of pain relief, care for those near death, oncology and neurology.  He has served on numerous panels and advisory committees, many at the national level.  He has given expert testimony to the Congressional Black Caucus National Brain Trust and the President’s Cancer Panel in the area of healthcare access disparities in cancer care, palliative medicine and end-of-life care.  He also has received a Distinguished Service Award from the American Pain Society, of which he is president; the Humanitarian Award from the Urban Resources Institute; and the Janssen Excellence in Pain Award.



Denny Smith, CEO of Masters Pharmaceutical Inc.

Denny has over 25 years of experience in generic pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and distribution.  In 2000, he founded Masters Pharmaceutical Inc., a national wholesale distributor of low cost prescription pharmaceutical and medical products, now servicing more than 15,000 pharmacies throughout the United States.  Masters Pharmaceutical, Inc. is ranked number 54 in Deloitte’s top 100 largest privately owned companies in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, is located in Cincinnati, OH. In 2007 Masters Pharmaceutical becameone of the first companies to be granted VAWD accreditation by the National Associations of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP). Previously, he started DBSTrading, successfully guided Superior Pharmaceutical through 12 years of rapid growth from 1989 to 2001, (recognized by both Inc. Magazine and Ernst &Young throughout the 1990’s as one of the nation’s 500 fastest-growing privately-held companies). Earlier in his career, he served as National VicePresident of Sales for Bioline Laboratories (1986-1989) and Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Goldline Laboratories (1980-1985). Denny attended the University of Cincinnati where he majored in business management.



Neal J. Moser, M.D.

Dr. Moser has been practicing medicine for 26 years. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1988. He practices medicine in Crestview Hills, KY and specializes in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. Dr. Moser is affiliated with Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital and multiple St. Elizabeth Healthcare locations throughout Northern Kentucky. He is board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Sleep Medicine.



Michael Hatrak, D.C.

Dr. Hatrak is passionate about eliminating chronic bio-mechanical injuries and has been in practice for over 35 years specializing in sports medicine and performance. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1976 from New York Chiropractic College (Columbia Division). In 1979, he was a professor at Pennsylvania Chiropractic College while maintaining a private practice in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. After years of research, Dr. Hatrak came to the realization that Chiropractic care alone wasn’t enough to deliver the corrective care needed for professional athletes and the large increase of the “weekend warrior” crowd.
